THE WEIGHT OF NORTEÑO

Where the accordion leans.

The accordion carries the melody, but the band walks on your bass line. The Aztek in Black Sparkle is for the player who takes norteño seriously and wants a Bajo Quinto that plugs in and goes on stage.

Who is it for?
For the norteño Bajo Quinto player who works next to the accordion and wants an instrument with a pickup and a hard case included, in Black Sparkle.
The sound, in words
Ten strings tuned A-D-G-C-F: octaves on A and D for the bass runs, unisons on G, C and F for the fills. Solid Sitka spruce top over rosewood.
How it feels to play
A 30-inch scale, 18 frets and a 48 mm bone nut. The cutaway lets you reach the high notes, and the dual-action truss rod lets you adjust the neck.
